History

The rich and fascinating history of our Club began more than 130 years ago at The Hermitage on Franklin Turnpike in Ho-Ho-Kus, and evolved over time, with the current Clubhouse opening on May 30th, 1929.

 

2022 U.S. AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP DOCUSERIES
THE BACK OF THE RANGE

 

The Back of the Range has produced a six episode Docuseries on the 122nd US Amateur held at RCC last August.  The Host Committee retained Ben Adelberg and the Back of The Range to handle social media on the Am.

This is Ben’s first Docuseries.  We hope that you will enjoy watching the attached trailer and each of the episodes that follow.  As the episodes release we will share them with you on the Club’s website. These videos are available to the general public on the Guest side of our website under the History Page.

This video of vintage 1935 Ryder Cup footage was taken by former member John A. McNulty.  The estate of former member, Joseph P. McNulty shared a copy with The Ridgewood Country Club in 2020.  Joe often spoke of being a young lad when his father took him to the Ryder Cup matches.  The footage was found amongst old home movies, converted into digital format, and authenticated by the USGA in 2018.
